Holidays in Cornwall

For many years now, people have been visiting the County of Cornwall in the UK because it offers a more traditional seaside holiday. However, although the traditional seaside holiday is still a favourite with young and old alike, some people are looking for a little bit more in their Cornwall holidays today. Yes as you will soon discover Cornwall can offer you much more than just sun, sea, sand and clotted cream teas.

Yes, you can still spend time on the beach enjoying the sand, sea and sun, but today there is so much more for you to do. If you want, you could actually learn to surf or windsurf as it offers some of the best winds and waves around the shoreline of Britain today.

But along with the water, sports there are now hundreds of great places to eat in this county. Some of the most well known chefs to be found in the UK today have set up restaurants down here, one being Rick Stein.

Yet this county is still a place to take children on holiday to as it offers a wide range of activities for children and adults to do together. One particular location that you may want to visit during your time here is the Eden Project. This is now the center where they are trying to combat the effects that are caused by global warming. So offers you and your family a chance to find ways of working together and with others to help save the planet we live on. In fact, the Eden Project is now ranked alongside both the Taj Mahal and the Grand Canyon as being a world heritage site.

One other reason why so many people choose Cornwall as their vacation spot is that no matter where you stay you are only ever a short drive away from its coastline. Also, there are plenty of other beautiful natural features for you to see and visit as well. Plus within a short while you can actually head in to the next county along (Devon) and take a peruse around its quaint villages and towns as well.

Yes, you can spend time relaxing on the beaches by why not take a trip a little further a field and enjoy the sights and sounds that Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor have to offer. Here you will see some of Britain’s native animals including deer and you never know you may be in luck and spot the Beast of Bodmin as well.

When it comes to staying in Cornwall, you have a number of different choices to make. You can stay in either a hotel or a B&B (Bed and Breakfast). Whilst if there is a large group of you intending to take a visit to the area why not rent a holiday cottage instead.

But whether you are after a holiday that allows you to relax and unwind or where you can participate in some great outdoor activities then you should seriously be considering Cornwall for your next vacation. There are plenty of places online that can offer you some great deals on Cornwall holidays and all of which will suit your budget and requirements perfectly.
